Terence Keel is a Full Professor at the University of California, Los Angeles where he holds a split appointment in the Department of African American Studies and the UCLA Institute for Society and Genetics. Keel is the Founding Director of the Lab for Biocritical Studies—an interdisciplinary space committed to studying how discrimination, inequality, and resilience are embodied in vulnerable communities.
His teaching, research, and community engagement are concerned with the social, political, and ethical conditions that produce and abolish discrimination within society. Keel earned a BA from Xavier of Louisiana, a Masters of Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School, and a PhD from Harvard University. For more information, please visit www.terencekeel.com
